Default Convertible top leaking

Do any of you have leaks in your convertible top? I have a 97 and when it rains (lots in Pittsburgh) I get small drips down into the interior. It pools behind the rear seat in the small vinyl separator. Fortunately, it doesn't appear to go into the trunk or in any other body area. I now keep a towel on the rear seat and I wipe off the small accumulation after each rain.

It appears to be coming in where the vinyl top meets the vinyl that is bonded to the heated glass.

Any ideas on stopping this or things to try?

Sounds like it may be time for a new top. Mine started dry-rotting along that back section and the leaking happened just like you described. You may try using a silicone based sealant if indeed it is where the top meets the back window, it just might buy you some time if the rest of the top isnt too bad

This top is like new, having been replaced two years ago. All of the top, with the exception of the panel with the glass was done by a professional shop.

I'll be going to the shop tomorrow to get my top fixed. The guy at the shop said that it was the "rain guard". It's a metal channel that diverts rain to a drainage hole. Have a shop check it out or pull out the vinyl piece behind the rear seat and check it your self. These things rust through and are usually not replaced when the top is.

If the panel with the glass was not changed that vinyl strip below the window is as old as your OLD top was! Still sounds like a prime candidate for dry-rot to me.
