The bad part about all of it is if i am able to get the GT id have to get like $10k financed so id have to work 40 hour a week job and between school and that id have no time to enjoy myself or nothing so im just trying to figure out if its worth the trouble[sm=smiley5.gif]

Priorities. If you want a great social life, keep the thing stock and save your money.

I worked 40-50 hours a week during high school to help pay for the house and save money to get into college. I worked 70-80 hours a week during the summer to pay for books and tuition.

I kept a social life on top of this. To get things, you make sacrafices. Mine got me plenty of great freinds and a great education at the cost of insane sleep deprivation and physical pain to get there.

Make priorities, a plan of attack, and get over it.

My advice, is if you're gonna just trade it in for a V8, save hte money and don't mod period and save it for the V8.

Mod smart, not instantanious.

check out the newest, June, issue of Muscle Mustangs and Fast Fords. they have a tech article about building power in V-6 engines that you might find interesting. there's lots of stuff you can do to it increase the performance, but it will never equal a V-8, but you can still have a lot of fun with a stepped up V-6 if you do it right.

Well, it's true the V6 will never be the same as the V8, but make sure your insurance company knows you have a V6. Your insurance rates should be cheaper than a V8 (see? There is an advantage for a V6 )
But a V6 doesn't mean you can't have fun with it, and like Roundman said, check out the June issue of MM+FF's. That is a great article for people with V6's.
And some here might be surprised to know the the 2005 V6 will be pushing 200 hp. That's the same as the Fox bodied V8's were putting out, so Ford's come a long ways with the V6's. Course, the 5.0 V8 has more torque, but hey, you can't have it all
Also, V6's should get better gas mileage.
