Not what your budget is right now, how much are you willing to put into it TOTAL?

I'm willing to put in about $3.5K into a saturn out of pocket costs (but I'm also going to be selling parts of the car to help pay for it, hence the out-of-pocket-costs dealio) over two years to have a low 13's, mid/high 12 second sedan.

I'm also doing an insane amount of researching and numbers crunching, and I won't be able to even put any kind of work (including buying a car to work on) for at least 10 weeks.

if it were me I would take the 500.00 and use that as a down payment on a GT. Man there is really nothing you can do to a V6, in my opinion, to soup it up or make it sound good.

Well I dont know if this applies to a V6 stang but I had a '97 F150 extcab with a V6 and I took it in to get a V8 put in and they told me it wasnt worth it because I would have to change out so much stuff, to include the whole vacum system the guy said. He never quoted a price but he said it would cost more than the truck was worth and the trucks value was about $7000 at the time. Its worth looking into. Buy you a good stroker and go all out if you can do the swap. Good luck and let me know what you find out.
