REAR BRAKE CLIPS ON PADS
Does any one know if the clips on the rear brake pads are neccesary to reuse, Secondly, if they are, how the heck do you put them back in with the pads into the caliper.
I can get the back one in, but the front doesn't have enough room with these damn clips.
IM novice at this, but it seems pretty easy, what am i fdoing wrong ?????

RE: REAR BRAKE CLIPS ON PADS
if i'm correct, they are the anti-rattle clips and help keep the pads in the right place (maintaining clearance) and are a b1tch to get back on. i left them off when i changed mine recently and have had zero trouble or noise. the only clips you really need are the ones on some pads that hold the pad to the caliper itself (usually front).

I'm assuming you are talking about the clips attached to the ends of the pads (2 per pad). Yes I think they are necessary or else the pad may rattle around a little. They are tight but the pad will go on with them. Try tapping lightly with a hammer to get them started. Bend down the tabs with you fingers. Good luck.
