brake rotors too big

brake rotors too big
i just bought a set of 13in. cross drilled, slotted, and vented brake rotors for my gt. the seller said that they'd fit without modifications. i've got 18in. y2k rims so i know they would fit. but when i tried to install them, the rotor wouldn't fit in the caliper. the rotors were just too thick. i had to get rid of one of the brake pads just to have the rotors fit. also, the caliper won't match up with the stock bracket with the rotors on. does that mean i have to upgrade to cobra calipers and brackets.

RE: brake rotors too big
You're def gonna need calipers to match the rotors. Either that or take them back and be like, what the hell?[8D] But anyways, I'm guessing you were just saying you had to take one of the pads out to get it on to give us an idea how big they were, not that you'd run it like that, right? Figured you wouldn't but just wanted to make sure. So yea, smaller rotors or bigger calipers.
