I just got a K&N air filter for my birthday. I was originally going to get a cold air intake but having to buy a tuner (diablo, predator,etc...) I'm not sure what to do. I'm sure as hell not spending money on the tuner and voiding my warranty. What do you guys think?

Why do you need the tuner? Why don't you just buy a cold air intake kit? K&N and BBK make nice kits.

Yeah why do you think you need the tuner? Just don't get one right now.

Install the K&N,then trim the air silencer and remove the screen from in front of the MAF.Be sure to reinstall the rubber seal when you put everything back together.Trimming the silencer will still pull cooler air from the fender well and it's free.I trimmed mine so that the top is longer than the bottom and the front is longer than the back.
