Jeep there are chemicals in the airbags when they deploy!!!!! I was rushed to the ER after that accident along with my lil sis and we were told that it was an allergic reaction.... And I dont need to have a degree to know about allergic reactions

There is a chemical reaction inside of the airbag that makes nitrogen oxide.

Plus when like all cars now have air bags what about the people who are below those recomendations, do they have to get old cars? I just think you should have an option of having one or at least be able to shut it off if you don't want it.
There's not that many people that short in America that can drive. You literally have to be a midget, 5' or shorter.

My wife is under 5' (though barely), is has the seat so far forward to drive that I can't fit behind the wheel. And I'm not fat! I pray she never gets into a head-on accident, cuz I worry the airbag will kill her before the accident does. And because my wife drives like this, I have noticed there are a lot of other shorter people (mostly women) that drive with their bodies very close to the steering wheel. This cannot be a good situation for these short people. They especially, should have a choice if they want the airbags to be deployed or not.

Think about this, in my state (NH), motorcyclists have the choice if they want to wear helmets or not. Why can't a motorist decide if they want the airbag or not?

I know quite a few girls who are 5' tall. Plus their recomendations don't mean everyone who fits those criteria will be fine with one. It should be a choice for whatever reason. The government is supposed to be there to serve us not act as overprotective parents who tell us what we can and can't do.

Welcome to the current set up of the US govt.

Really pisses me off. Hell, one Congressman is trying to ban low-riding pants because he's sick of seeing boxers. Seems a little illegal to me.

I'd love to go off on a tangent about how ****ed up the US's legal system is, but that'd take several days and I'd need to contact a publisher.
