I just acquired a 02 V6 convertible and the upshifting when acclerating aggressively is more harsh than I expected. This is expecially true of the the first to second shift and the second to third shift. I don't expect the shifting to be as smooth as my Lexus but I want to be sure there is not a problem. Is this typical for this vehicle, or should I be concerned? If it is typical, is there anything anyone can suggest to smooth out the shifting I would welcome it.

what do you mean hard shifting? and where does it shift, does it shift around 5500 rpms and chirp second gear? either way it could of had a shift kit installed by a previous owner
