Help - How Can I go FAST !!!
I just bought a 2000 GT and it's pretty basic. I'd like to go fast. I can spend upto 2500 right now. But I have no clue where to start.
Exhause: whats the best...i mean from the engine to the tip
Air Intake: should I invest in a kit ? which one is the optimal
If you have knowledege of what else I should do the the car I would appreciate it!

Exhuast is always good, go with some nice headers, and O/R X or H pipe and whatever cat-back you like. After that since it's a newer one you don't have as many options as us 5.0 owners do. I'm sure others can give you more input on the 4.6's
longtubes your choice of gears, pulleys, cold air kit,not much to do to make it really fast unless you supercharge it ,,thats a big diff, little bolt ons just dont add up that well like a chager can boost over 100hp alone..maybe save i little more cash and go for that...best hp per dollar..
I was thinking about how ppl say that a S/Cer is the best hp per dollar.I figure it this way. C&L intake plenum was dyno tested at about 10hp and about $180. That equals out to $18 per HP. A S/Cer, about $4,000 for a 4.6 gives you say 100hp. That equals out to $40 per hp. So how is that the best hp per dollar?
Cause you'd have to get one hell of a supercharger kit to spend $4000. You can get base ~8 psi kits for like 1600-2000. Plus little stuff like the C&L plenum will take a long time to add up to a significant difference. Since you can't really do heads as much as you can on a 5.0 and there aren't much for intake options either a power adder is gonna be your best bet, along with exhuast and gears.
