This will be my first post here. Also, I'm planning on buying a 99-04 Mustang soon and I need some advice. I haven't been able to find any mustangs with less than 70,000 miles that have a certain type of hood (refer to the included picture), so I assume it's an aftermarket part. I haven't find any information as to how much the hood would cost to buy and how much for the labor to get it installed. Any information on this would be greatly appreciated. Also, I moving upstate NY (Syracuse), so if you happen to know a good shop within a few hundred miles of there that does this sort of thing, I wouldn't mind driving out there to make sure it gets done properly.

Maybe I am missing something. But that looks like a stock hood for a 99-04. I don't really know, I have a 95' that has the 2 cowles on either side of the hood.

 

Yeah that's a stock hood

 

For anyone who's interested. I finally figured it out after searching for a few hours. The hood may very well be an option for 2003 models since a lot of 2003 models have that hood. I assume that if an earlier year has that model, they just took it from a new model or maybe got it from the dealer.

 

That is a stock hood for all 01-04 Mustang GTs. And the V6 Pony package.
