maf worth it?

Default maf worth it?

i have an 86 gt w/o maf, would it be worth the few hundred bucks to upgrade? what would be the benefeits?

It's more accurate then the speed density and will help you run a little smoother. I've always had it so I can't give you a before and after but I doubt people would bother doing it if it didn't help.

Only if you plan on modding it further. There are other things you could do first that would be better for you, assuming you havent already done em (aka gears, exuast, etc).

The MAF change allows you to fully optimise your modifications. However on a stock car I doubt you will see a significant gain.

I guess the real question is, how much is it? If its dirt cheap, go for it. That way everything you do from now on will have a better effect. However if its expensive and going to be your only mod, its not worth it.

I think it's between two and three hundred for the conversion kit. I'd get some more stuff done on your motor first then go for it.
