You should trade those 3.73's in for 4.10's man.

The transmission in our late model GT's are GEARED VERY poorly (geared for gas mileage).

Using a Fox Body as an example, 3.73's are the best choice for 3.73's. Due to our GT's geared transmissions, 4.10's in our cars are the equivalent to 3.73's in a Fox. I will be suprised if you aren't dissapointed in the 3.73's if you are looking for the best 1/4 mile time possible with your setup.

I was gonna go w/ 4.10's but I heard the first gear is almost unusable...and my mpg is a big thing for me since I drive on the highway...

y how how much a 1/4 time is there between 4.10's and 3.73's? like a 2 tenth differance?

Yes, huge difference in ET's between 3.73's & 4.10's.

First gear IS fine. My brother has 4.30's in his truck and he can still use first gear fine with his V10...

4.10's will run 200 rpms higher than 3.73's on the highway, not much of a difference!!

Ive got 4.10's and 1st is plenty usable. I always start out in first and take it to about 15 mph, that is unless ive got food in my hand or something... I can tell ya I can drive it like an auto sometimes, just leave it in 3rd from a dead stop to 50 mph lol.

Honestly, if you get 3.73's your gonna be disappointed. With my mods (full exhaust 4.10's and a chip) I can bark 4th everytime powershifting (at 75 mph mind you). Mmmmmmmmmm 4.10's .... yummmy....

Oh yea, and I run 2900 rpm at 80mph in 5th, not to shabby...
