Default advice on heads

well someone else told me 86`s have the worst heads theyve ever put on a 5.0 and my problem is............ i have an 86. so give me some good advice on what type of heads i should get, and is there anything else i should do when getting new heads?

afr 185's or broddix. either one will give you a huge increase in air flow and power esp. coupled with the right intake/exhaust..

Its not necessarily the heads that are hurting you, its the fact that you have flat top pistons in that 86 motor of yours. That SEVERELY limiits what you can do without either fly cutting the pistons or replacing them. Your not gonna be able to put any kind of cam or aftermarket heads on that car without addressing the piston problem first. Then when you've done that, your gonna either have to have your computer reprogrammed to run properly if your still using the stock speed density system, or your gonna have to convert to mass air.
