Default Custom dash

Hewwo. Anyone know of tutorials for custom dash work? Like fiberglassing and/or wood working? I want to build a great luxory style dash from scratch for my '93 LX. I was thinking of vinyl, color to match interior scheme yet to be decided, and some nicely grained species of wood. I like the wood grain trim kits, but I crave real wood. Also, anyone know where I can find nice digital or analog dash components?

You've got some pretty wildly grand plans in the works Velvet Leopard, from the 351 powered AWD driveline to the custom interior.. are you for real or just blowing smoke out of your butt?

How bout you fill us in a little bit about some previous things you've worked on. You must have a done a few successful project so far if you're now looking to redesign an entire car How bout some pics of these projects?

not saying your idea is bad, but why do you want to put a luxurious interior into a 80's/early 90's muscle car?

Heh. Okee. I do know all this sounds like a huge mountain to climb. For one thing, this Mustang is intended to be my personal long term project. I will first simply do a frame off, err unibody emptied LOL, rebuild. Swap the engine and get the interior done, then I will do the major mods, unless they are more feasably done during. I will lay the projects out in a reasonable order. So I do not get myself into something I can't finish and end up ruining a great ride. As for my previous work, I haven't done a whole lot more than simple remove/replace, wiring, light body work, minor interior work, and two other engine swaps. I want to do something different with the interior. I thought a luxury/sport Mustang would be a nice twist. A door blowing luxury two seater appeals to me. I do not think I should be judged by previous experience. I know my little car well. Every nut and bolt that holds the car together. Also, nothing will be done to my beloved car unless I know for sure it will work and it will be tasteful. I am not going to ruin a great ride like that. I plan on getting a pro to straighten and paint the body. I will do the interior work though. My bro can help me with the fabrication needs. Again, I know I sound like I am blowing smoke out of my butt and this sounds way too massive for me to do, but I will get it done and it will be a very nice ride. I will try my best to get pictures of it, but remember I said this is intended to be a long term project. Not a short half azzed install/mod job that can be done in a few months with a great big cash injection. I think I am doing good for being a full time college student. Oh and as for wildy grand plans, I have seen some way more demanding than mine. Production car with AWD mid-engine that achieves over 225 MPH. Chevy full size equipped with 4,000 HP helecoptor turbine engine. Offroad 4x4 with twin V-6 quad turbocharged that climbs mountains. Antarctic self sustained SUVs that can traverse crevases. Honda two door totally reconfigured as a center steer system. Pure electric car that achieved over 300 MPH on one charge.
