what are the differences in the Mach 1 and the Cobra?

 

Well the Mach1 has a ram-air induction. That's what the vent on the hood is. The Cobra is supercharged. The Mach1 is about 305 horspower I believe, whereas the Cobra is 390 (depending on the year of course).

 

Plus the cosmetic stuff inside and out, but that you can see for yourself. Plus the Mach 1 doesnt have the IRS.

 

Both are awesome cars. Both have the 4v DOHC engine, but like already stated, Mach has ram air and Cobra has a s/c. Tough decision because Mach 1's look awesome with the ram-air hood and are slightly more towards the rare side (at least where I live). But then the cobra has 390 hp...so...[&:]

 

Cobra has a 6 speed too. I think the mach was underrated ('01 Cobra was rated 320hp) and I know the Cobras were under rated at 390hp... and i dont think the mach hood scoop adds any ram induction, any extra pressure coming in the hood scoop is just going to go out the fender intake.

 

its just colder air and slightly better flow , not true ram. Ehhh the Mach 1 looks good and has 320hp i belive. Tuff choice but i guess it all comes down to Insurance and Car cost. the supercharger gives the Cobra slightly better MPG when you drive it like grandpa

 

I would go with the Mach 1.They are every where here in nj.

 

Mach 1 shaker hood is fully functional. And the better buy is the Mach 1 for looks it is a better car. Digital gauges are different from a gt or cobra and so are the ribbed seats. The cobra is nothing more than a race car, its very simple and down to the point interior wise, but you have a better starting block( 390hp) really put 360ish to the ground so they are underrated. If i had a choice i would go Mach1.

 

I don't know it's a tough decision. Like everyone said, Mach 1 gives you the looks, plus it's rare. But on the other hand, the Cobra isn't exactly an ugly duckling. And you get that really cool SVT logo.

 

just get a mach and put the 03/04 front bumper on it.

then get a vortech/procharger (whoever makes the mach 1 kit).
