Mach 1 shaker hood is fully functional. And the better buy is the Mach 1 for looks it is a better car. Digital gauges are different from a gt or cobra and so are the ribbed seats. The cobra is nothing more than a race car, its very simple and down to the point interior wise, but you have a better starting block( 390hp) really put 360ish to the ground so they are underrated. If i had a choice i would go Mach1.

Cobra has a 6 speed too. I think the mach was underrated ('01 Cobra was rated 320hp) and I know the Cobras were under rated at 390hp... and i dont think the mach hood scoop adds any ram induction, any extra pressure coming in the hood scoop is just going to go out the fender intake.

I have personally watched a stock mach 1 eat a cobra. If that's what your looking for is performance. Of course it does depend on the driver when it comes to drag racing too. But it's totally up to you. If it were me, I'd have trouble deciding too...

In 2003, there was about 700 less Mach 1 units made than Cobra Coupes & Convertibles combined.
If you are talking about Rare as in possible value, no. If you are talking about rare as in possibly running into another one on the road, sure.
What is your goal? Do you want a car that'll stay fairly stock and have a higher value? Or are you looking for a car to drive a lot and have a blast with and not worry about it's value?

Difference are many
Cobra has S/C IRS 6Spd.
Mach has live axle 5 spd no S/C and a FUNCTIONAL shaker scoop.
If you want a ccar to build for Drag racing then the mach is a better starting piont.
If you want a road race car than the COBRA is a better starting piont.
However if yo are looking for a good quick D/D performance car that will performan nicely out of the box and is easy to mod $$ fo $$ the mach is a better deal.
As for rareity the mach is much rarer than the snake. I have one of < 700 O/W 04's I wouldnt trade my MACH for a COBRA no way.
