so..... whats the results, did you replace the gasket? hows she running

 

Results were.. I HAD THE THERMOSTAT IN THE WRONG WAY
<---very stupid

I flipped it around and added more RTV onto the new gasket facing the block
and around where the thermostat connects to the water pump housing thing(where upper radiator hose connects)

Let that dry for a bit after bolting on.
gave it another spin around the block
just driving like a sane person.
I pull into the driveway
pop the hood.
It's all clean.
Pulled out of the driveway, drove about a mile checked it. Still fine.
Then another mile, checked and it's A-OK.

So everything is running flawlessly on the car at the moment. Not sure what I should set the timing at(its at 10 BTDC)
Only thing I have a problem with is GAS.
WHY MUST YOU KEEP RISING!
its now at 2.07 for the good ****
rising like 2 cents a day.
THIS IS HORRIBLE!

 

If you leave it at ten you should be able to run lower gas, it's kinda a car by car thing though, some are fine some don't like it.

yea, but after a while it kinda started to freak me out. Imagine a horror movie with like 10,000 of those things coming after you.
