This is a difficult one
Ok, this is on a 2001 eclipse engine (in a sebring coupe)
Two seperate belts, one for the power steering, another for the alternator and A/C. When you have the A/C running and nail the car, the belt makes a horrible squeaking sound. Gee, sounds like a worn belt. Replaced it with a GOOD belt and cleaned the A/C pulley with brake-kleen on a rag. Now, instead of squeaking at 4k RPM, it does it at about redline, which, granted is hardly ever hit, but still. Could it be the clutch on the A/C compressor itself?
Im getting pissed off with this stupid jap car. Its not really a problem, because its only when it gets gunned but it just started a few months ago, and I know its there, so I want it fixed
Thanks
Jim
