Default 429 thunderjet build?????

so I'm a student at ODU and I just bought a 68 thunderbird with a 429 thunderjet in it...cost me $750...been searching all over for info on this motor and can't find much...found a post on this board bout the old 427/428/429 motors and the differences of the thunderjets/cobra jets/supercobra jets but it wasn't much help

I'm rebuilding this motor and gonna put it in my 69 mustang....

I'm asking for any help and suggestions on how to go about this...what brands of parts i should use, if there was anything screwy with that motor i should know about, general build suggestions

any info no matter how little will be greatly appreciated

the thunderjet is just a basic 429 from what I know, its just what they called the 429 in the t-birds because they used 390's until 68 and then they bumped up the power to 429s. So it should just be a normal 429, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

call the guys at the ford tech line at 586-468-1356, I'm sure they can tell you anything you need to know about the engine. be a good idea to have the motor number off the block when you call them to be sure they have the right information about what you have before they give you any advice.
