Hey,
Where can I get a 6-speed trany for my 03 gt (5 speed)? I even did a google search and I still can't find anything. Also how much does a new 6speed cost (about) and do I need anything else to put it in my car or can I just swap the 5 out for thr 6?

find a used one from an 03 cobra...or just buy a new one from tremec

 

The Tremec T56 is only rated for 450 torque? That seems a bit low. Anyone know of a trany (preferably 6 speed) that can handly a bit more (I plan to get up to about 500-550 and would rather be safe than sorry). Or do you guys think that this will be able to hold up?

the tremec seems to hold up fine in the 03 cobras

 

the new cobras only have 395hp or right around there, not 500.

 

whats the t45 rated at? 350 or something? my 96 cobra had 460 rwhp, no tranny problems ever
