Default HEADLIGHTS

I need help. When I bought my 1999 GT, its headlights were sunbleached, like i've seen on many Mustangs with these headlights. So I upgraded them with the 2002 smoked chrome headlights. Unfortunately, I've noticed that when I wash my car or it rains, there is moisture that gathers in the headlights. I know how to clean the moisture out, but does anyone know how to prevent them from gathering moisture? Any advice would be greatly appriciated.

drill a small hole at the top and at the bottom not in the lens but in the reflector on the back side

To stop a leak you have to find out where it is first.
To find a possible leak in your headlight remove it from the car.Unplug the wires from the bulb/s and take the headlight inside.Run a sink or large bucket full of hot water. While the water is still hot, stick the headlight under the water and look for bubbles. They won't be very big so you might have to look closely. You might have to wait for a few minutes while the headlight heats up and pressurizes the trapped air inside.
If the leak is where the bulb goes into the headlight you can use silicon based grease to seal the O-rings.

This happens alot with the aftermarket lamps. One thing I tell people to do is to silicon around the complete housing....where the the lens mates/seals with the housing.

you could take the headlights out and get a tube of clear silicon cauking and run abead of it around the lense where the moisture is most likely getting in
