last night i ran over a dog [:'(] and i was on empty so after i hit the dog i went to the gas station to fill up and check out my car make sure its alright. i filled it up. 14 gallons and inside my car it says i only have half a tank. im not sure what the problem might be. any ideas?

 

I've actually had this problem since I bought my car brand new. I have one of the first 05's that came to Idaho and its full of bugs...very irritating but Ford has been good to me. The sudden impact or sharp stopping of your car may have tweaked the sensor somehow, otherwise I dont see any other cause. I'd just take it in to the dealer and have them check it out.

Did hitting a dog do any damage to your car? It a cat doing 120mph and it put a hole the size of a basket ball through my bumper (thus why I have an aftermarket front end) lol

lmao... 120 hitting a cat. must have looked like a watermelon getting smashed on the ground! yuck. i was only doing about 55 or 60 and the dog was already dead, it was in a shadow and i didn't see it till the last second. awesome ride you got there btw.
