Default Should I Mach 1 it?

Hey my engine is starting to get you know.. weak and old... and I was wondering how much would it cost me to drop a Mach 1 engine into it. its my first car and I don't want to sell it, and I already have about 2k saved up. Is it worth it? and how much more do I need?

Well the engine by itself is almost $7,000 straight from Ford. Plus installation, etc. So...a lot more than $2,000

I'd check eBay or try to find wrecked Mach1's/Cobra's that have a good engine for less money. You don't necessarily need a BRAND NEW engine, do you? As long as it has low miles you should be okay.

My shop ordered a new Mach 1 engine for my 65 Comet thru a dealer for $5,700 -- still not as cheap as buying a used (and maybe still a ripoff), but we're going new on everything.

you'd also have to custom cut out a hole in the hood for the shaker scoop. i dont think you can buy a shaker hood for the sn95

You don't have to run the shaker scoop on a Mach I engine....[sm=bangbang.gif]
