Are there any parts I can put on a 99 GT mustang to increase mileage.

Default RE: Improving gas mileage.

I added Steeda pulleys, Steeda CAI, and Steeda Timing Adjuster (14 degrees on 89 octane). With those mods, I went from 17.5 mpg city to 20.5 city. When I want to save fuel, I accelerate slowly and shift at 2000-2200 rpm. If I flog it a little, I still get about 19.5 mpg.

Depending on mileage and maintenance, you may want to consider: good, quality plugs, good air and fuel filters, and that the fuel system is clean (flushed). Also, inspect your O2 sensors and cats. If the cats our toast or the O2 sensors are fouled, you mileage will drop.

Hope this helps.

you could always just jam a baseball under your gas pedal so you can't keep mashing it to the floor [sm=bs.gif]

nooooo not the turbonator!!!!!

i say... shift at 2,000 rpms. that got me 300 miles on one tank. gears give you better City MPG but worse Highway MPG.

they switch so its a trade off, and keep your foot off the fire wall, get a CAI and exhaust, UD pullies and do regular maintnence, check tire preasure, its better to be a few lbs over then 1 lb under

I have a 5-speed V6 with an exhaust system and CAI and I get on average 200 miles per tank. Should I have something checked out or is it just because of my lead foot[8D]
