How much freeplay is supposed to be in the clutch pedal and how do you adjust it? I have no book for it yet so im not sure. Thanks, Robert

typically you wan t the clutch to release/engage approximately half way through its range of motion. Some people like it higher, some closer to the floor. It usually releases best right in the middle. If you have a stock cable and no aftermarket adjuster there isnt much you can do as they are self adjusting. You can supposedly pull up on the pedal then push it down to readjust them but i have never seen much difference myself in doing that. Otherwise you will want either and adjustable cable and/or a firewall adjuster.

if you turn the adjuster CCW it should make the clutch engage/disengage a little higher. I dont like a firewall adjust by itself, I prefer to use them in conjunction with an adjustable cable that way i can do the coarse adjusting with the cable, then the fine adjusting with the firewall adjuster.

but is there a way so there is less travel on the pedal? My pedal sticks out pretty far past the break and I'de like it have the pedal back a little further.

you can get them closer to being the same height with an adjustable cable and firewall adjuster.
