plugs continually fouling...
Fellow stang lovers,
new to this site and fairly new to driving mustangs.
Purchased a 83 mustang, 351W, runs strong but having problems after changing the 650 carb. that went bad to a Advenger 750 dbl pumper. Plugs fouling out after 3/4 days of driving? Founded that the 750 was dumping fuel in the back ports at idle after a few minutes of running so thought the fuel pressure might be to much. Added an inline fuel pressure guage, currently set at 6, ran ok for a couple of days but again, plugs seems to be fouling out as she is running raggely again.
Again, new to all this so any basic suggestions/ recommendations as a start [:@]?
Thanks,
Stroker48

RE: plugs continually fouling...
A 750cfm carb is kinda big for a 351W, unless you're revving the snot out of it all the time (ie drag racing a LOT etc)
Was the carb new? Floats & needle seals in good shape?
A highschool buddy was upgrading the carb on his highly modified '74 Trans Am 455ci bigblock, and the shop recommended only a 780cfm for that monster,,,

Check the float levels, they may be high and adding too much fuel. Are you sure it's a 351? Make sure it had be transplanted in the past. How's your ignition system? Stock or modified. High or low mileage. Some details on the engine would be helpful.
