Default Cooling hood

What is the best or a good hood for venting heat out of the engine bay? Keep in mind this is a daily drivin car, so I can't use a hood that will let rain in & kill my engine.

before you do that you might be interested in spraying your headers with a coat of jet hot, or wrapping them up in heat-wrap even....

If you're having cooling problems you might wanna look at either a hi flow waterpump and/or an electric fan setup.

My engine temperature will keep going up @ interstate speeds. went all the way to 250 degrees F. last time i was on it. I turned off popped the hood & let the engine idle until it got back down to 160.

You shouldn't have problems cooling driving on the highway. There's probably something wrong. Are you loosing coolant at all? Your waterpump might not be working well either. If you're having problems and things appear to be all in order you could get a higher flowing water pump.

Yea thats wierd at highway speeds youre get hot temp, theres gotta be something up with that, Maybe youre rad is plugged, So the coolant isnt able to flow threw the system too good, If you have a gasket leak (headgasket) Just pop off youre rad cap, And see if you get any bubbles poping in the coolant or a sweet smell from the exhaust tailpipe, Or mis in idling is a sign too, Oh and to tell if youre water pump is no good, loosin the belt, push upand down on the spindle of the waterpump if their is any play youre water pump is wearing out.

trying to get around to it, been busy working. 2 nights ago something kicked on & cooled the engine down from 210 degrees to 170 degrees while driving at a constant 60mph, but then it kicked off again after like 5 miles down the highway. & thanks for the help.
