Default Steeda vs. K & N

I have been reading allot of info about intakes on here... I was wondering if anyone has experience with either or both the K & N FIPK or Steeda Intake kits... Which would be the best for sound (non ricey) and performance? Any other suggestions?

thanks guys

Well if you have a V8 it won't sound ricey anyway. I would go with Steeda, it looks better IMO and looks to be better quality. My friend and my brother have the K&N's they are good too but for $20 more I would get the Steeda.

sounds good. Just cause I am in Canada and I am not sure if there is a Steeda Distributor here, i'll have to find out... If there isnt i guess I will go with the K & N cause I wont get nailed on the border...

Thanks again for your help

I would say go Densecharger for performance. They are the best numbers in the market right now. Thats what I have and that and the pullies were an awsome combo!

Does anyone know about this intake? I am not sure if there is a specific brand, but I saw it for $40
Will it work the same as the other on the market?

looks like something for a ricer... not a stang. The pipes dont even look like they would go in tight. I have never see one like that before. It looke like it more for mass air intake and not cold air like fender well intakes.

MASS air intake and a COLD air intake?

eh, Newer cars have a MASS AIR FLOW sensor, which goes right before the air filter.

MASS air would be PART of the COLD air intake

no no no... Im thinking of the system where the filter just sits in the corner of the grill and quarter panel of the car and not inserted into the fenderwell. The fenderwell system is cold air. There is another name for the other type. What am I thinking about?

I dont think it has a name, I think its just removing the airbox and slapping on a conical filter.
