Default Brakes

I was wondering if anyone has and recommendation on brakes pads and shoes for a stock 92 LX Convertible. I don't know much about the different types brands ect. any suggestions would be great. I am also looking for something that not the most expensive but I am willing to spend a little extra to get a bit better braking. Thanx

as for the shoes, i would just go for some wagners or raybestos, motorcraft are good too-since the shoes only do part of the braking. on the front, it might be worth it to go ahead and get some slotted or drilled rotors and put some decent pads on them. you can find those rotors for about 80-100 a piece and put some motorcraft or wagners on them and go. if your calipers are in good working condition and the hardware/adjusters for the rear are good, middle grade brakes should last you a while.

i have heard those are a hard compound race type brake,, the kind that work like *** on cold morings but really do their thing when they are hot or warm,,,unless te car is going autocrossing or something like that i would stick with a stock type pad

You'll get what you pay for. If you wanna but slotted rotors or whatever they'll be better, you just have to ask if you want/need to spend the extra money.

for a street car you dont need drilled or slotted rotors, waste of money.....they acutally destroy your pads faster it....

It's more of a, just have them so you can say you have them thing. If you want better braking upgrade your calipers.
