I have an 84 mustang I'm gonning to be doinng alot of work to it next week, and I was wondering how hard would it be to add an A/C. If I go to the auto recycler to pic up a used unit? what would be involved? what would I need? is it even worth it? Thanks.

 

if your car had AC at some point (like factory) it wont be all that difficult, but if not your gonna have your hands full... real full

 

No the car never had A/C. oh well guess I'll just fix the sunroof insted

 

Yeah you'll have to get your hands on a LOT of parts, like brackets, a compressor, condenser, coolant lines, dash controls, new pulleys, belt, etc. etc.

It's costly. Just use the built in 2/70 A/C for now, and if you want A/C sell your car and buy another with A/C.

Yea, def not worth it. I know they make retro fit AC for older cars but I don't think our quite fit into that catagory yet.
