I have an 84 2.3L and I'm am about to repaint, I'm taking it down to bare metal.
I wan't to change the doors and hatch, I was wondering what years are interchangeable for doors and hatch, maybe up to 86 when they still had 4 head lights or can I get the doors from a newer mustang? Thanks

 

arnt all the foxes identical except for tailights and headlights?

The doors from newer ones will fit but they are a tiny bit different, nothing real big though or anything that matters. You're all set with the hatch from any one, wings changed a little though.
