im thinking about buying a 1999 mustang and they say it is a boss351 and it has it on the hood is their really such thing or is it just decals.

Unless they dropped a 351 in (highly, highly unlikely) then there isn't such a thing, and it is very much simply decal work. I think they stopped making those in like 74 after they changed to the Mustang II

boss 351 was only in 71 there is a concept boss 351 that featured a v10 i beileve but its not production
