So I recently decided to keep my M3 as a daily driver, but i still want a mustang, and i want it to be as badass as humanly possible, so my question is, What is the biggest baddest most powerful engine I can shove into a 2000 GT's engine bay for less than $10k? I've been looking at some of the ford racing engines, but i don't know which ones would fit. Also, it MUST pass emissions in Georgia (EPA guidelines and thats it basically)

Any Ideas? Oh yeah... and then of course in about a year i'll be superchraged for even more power. But lets not get into full drivetrain upgrades, i'm just talking getting the engine in the car and running for less than 10K

 

a ford 347(stroked and bored 302) will work but is not a drop in job it will take some time. need some work but you could do it. if you are not into fully redoing and engine bay then do twin turbo. its hard to do because its a late model car so you still ahve emmisions.

 

Maybe I should clarify what i plan to do. I have every intention of putting a big *** high powered engine in the car (i know,maybe not the best route, but we'll get to that.) and then about a year after it goes in, I plan on finding a way to get it supercharged to around 15 PSI. Thats where the size comes in... there's no replacement for displacement.

No obviously this is gonna cost some dough, but thats not the point, i know i could just go and buy a brand new GT500 cam it, forged internalls, bigger supercharger, but I wholly believe in built not bought. And i want something unique.

Labor isn't an issue, i've rebuilt two motors now completely from the ground up (did everything but the machining myself) and would do this myself.... Its basically a project car, so i wanna have fun with it. Then i'm gonna go out and walk on everything that thinks its better than me

 

that's against federal law, the engine is older than the car

 

460 big block bored and stroke if u want the biggest engine possible

buy an 03 Cobra motor and put a Turbo kit on it. That will be more than enough to twist your chassis out of shape.

 

and how many times has a cop checked the year of your engine? law shmaww! whats the law when you can out run them! just kidding you cant, dont try!
