First off i know this isnt a mustang but i appreciate the help. My friend has a 99 taurus SHO and he wants to put some racing seats in it. I have a few questions. If he does this can he keep the stock seat belts or does he have to get racing harness's. Also if he gets harness's does he need a roll bar to mount them to or can u mount it to the floor or somthing?

ive got a friend that has recaro seats in his s10 extreme and he has the stock belts in his. dont know if that helps....

 

I've got racing seats installed in my Ford Focus and the stock seatbelts work just fine. I can't imagine why they wouldn't work for any car. As for the harness, having a roll bar would be the safest and best way to mount them, but I think I've seen certain harnesses that mount to the floor behind the seat.

 

I have Corbeau racing seats in one of my whips, and I guess you could use factory with them, but my cage made the 5pt harness mo betta. There are a TON of race style seats that use factory seat belts more that use them than those that do not.

 

cool will we have mounting issues or can we buy a bracket that will bolt or weld right up?

 

They should have brackets available for your app.
