i think you all are confused a little - "no replacement for displacement" - that is cubes, cubic inch----your contradicting yourself...and far as more horsepower with FI, thanks not true, you think John Force is running FI....i didnt think so either

irregardless of your definition of "FI", John Force is running both, "forced induction" via a huge 14-71 supercharger putting out over 40 psi boost and "fuel injection" via two big pumps pushing 500 psi through a total of 32 fuel injection nozzles.

15 psi will approx double the horsepower output of an engine, hell even 7-8 psi is good for 100+ hp on an otherwise stock V8
Stroke your stock 302 by 45 cubes and relish in the enjoyment of an additional 35 hp.
