I have a 95 GT. The problem is whenever I tap on my brakes...the emergency brake light goes on whenever I slow down or sometimes it goes on when I speed up above 45 MPH. Does anybody have any ideas as to what it could be? one of my friends told me it could be the brake fluid but I just want to make sure its not something else also!

 

my guess either faulty light or your getting thin on the rear brakes..have you checed your fluid?

 

I agree with vfast on the rear pads getting thin.

 

could be a problem with the brake pressure from the master cylinder. you might want to get it checked out to make sure one side of the cylinder isn't going bad on you before you lose your brakes althogether.
