Default still no luck

heres the problem... i recently converted from a five speed to a c6 (for temporary purposes). everything was going fine, got it in was trying to get the sifter linkage right and finally got it. i had the motor running several times during this and there was no problem. then all of a sudden it started acting up. It runs for about 20-30 seconds and then just dies. if i keep the rpms above 3000 it will stay running. if i mash it, it dies, (unless its in that 30 to 30 secs and it is fine), if i gradually increase the rpms, its fine. I have tried about everything. I have changed the MAF meter, computer, checked my connections, changed plugs, wires, cap, rotor, even the distributor, idle bypass valve, TPS, changed fuel filter, put some injector cleaner, some stuff to get rid of water. Ive tried about all i know to try. The car is an 88 converted to MAF with A9l computer with chip (tried taking that off as well), has a 306 with an extreme energy cam with 555 intake/565 exhaust, gt40 intake, and windsor jr heads. has an msd coil(changed that too). I think its a fire issue. when i checked the timing last time, i wasnt getting the light everytime like i shouldve. i tested the light on another vehicle and it was fine. that was why i changed ditributors, thought maybe the module went bad or soemthing. The fuel pressure doesnt drop. it stays around 35, which is where i have it set. the spark plugs are fouling and when it runs. The ground is black where the turndowns are. it is firing in the right order. thanks in advance for your replies.

Honestly, thats a tall order. From the sound of it, you've exhausted the induction and firing side of things, why not check the fuel pressure and injector status. It doesnt sound related to the tranny.

yes I would take a look at the timing make sure #1 cyl is dead top up for firing order, Then I would look into getting a pressure test done Seems to me an fuel injector could be bad, Or youre fuel pump is dieing.
