I recently noticed a squeaking noise coming from the front end and over the course of a few weeks it has gotten a little louder. When I'm stopped a turn to the right or left makes a sound like a bed squeaking. I had it on a lift and the tie rod/ends are tight. Maybe the Rack and pinion?? If so what might the problem be? Anyone else have this issue or have heard of anyone with this issue?
I am thinking it may be the rack bushings too. When I was underneath u could see the whole rack shifting.....and from a quick peek it sounded as if it were coming from the bushing area....
I had the same problem plus mine was popping when I would turn right. I took it in and there happened to be a tsb (technical service bulletin) out for that problem. What ford did to fix it was put a new steering bracket. Not sure if you have the same problem though if you are not having popping.
I have the same noise, just the squeeking... i checked my wheels to see if they have any play and i did notice i have a little play in my passenger balljoint.
