Default What Carb to get

I have a 1968 289 with JBA Headers and Dual flowmasters. What would be the best Carburetor to get for it. What would be best performance for my dollar? Also is there anything i could do to increase my throttle response?

nos is right, go with the vacuum and for throttle response, keep the cfm's down, 600 should be perfect

I was looking at the holley carbs do you think that the holley custom speed shop model would be a good choice? What is the difference between electric choke and manual?
