Default Transmission Issues!!!!!

Okay heres my questions....

I have never done a shift kit install on a tranny thats out... Always on the car..... After the install should I put tranny fluid in/around the valve body and in the pan once Im done, cause the tranny will be left on the stand until the 12th..... Didn't know if it's bad on gaskets....

Also once I have the tranny out of the stang could I just do a valve body swap? I've already done the install on that one, I can replace the gaskets and rings and make sure the springs and pistons havent been warn... But can I do that? It's the same AODE that Im swapping it for.....

yes you can leave it dry not going to hurt anything unless its in the rain or outside,,,,just put fluid in the converter before installing,,,as far as valve body swap,,,you talking about the old trans vale body going into the new one???

Yeah, cause the tranny in it now has the shift kit in it... so If I pull that one and then just swap that valve body into my new one will it work?
