Default Who all thinks that Ford needs to make a bigger engine on mustang

I think that they need to make a bigger engine for the mustang 4.6's are good but they should step up to a 5.6 or 6.0 just to keep up with the competition like chevrolet and pontiac, i have a 4.6 its great but really has no pull at high speends and camaros just keep pulling who agrees with me?

I think some options with the 5.4L would be a good thing. I'd say keep the 4.0L and the 4.6L and add in a 5.4L DOHC. The 6.0L V10 would be nice too.[sm=drooldude.gif]

If we had a 6.0 liter, we would own the streets with no probs, I believe.
A 5.4 liter 4 valve would be satisfying.

6.0 for the Shelbys/Cobras
Bring back the 302 5.0 for a limited edition Boss model
Keep the 4.6 as the baseline GT

I hear the bigger engines might actually be an option in coming years. I'm assuming it has something to do with the impending release of the new challenger which will surely have a hemi option and the Camaro which will probably have at least an LS2 option.

...even the German automakers are starting to increase cylinders on some of their common cars. Audi is now offering V8's, V10's, and V12 in some of their cars that are available for under 250k just like BMW and Mercedes are. It seems like those kinds of options used to only be available in the supercars. I would think it'd be the other way around with gas prices but I guess not

definitely ford should have a higher step up to compete with z28. The 5.4 DOHC would be a nice set up for a GT
