Alright lemme ask this question like a newb. Could someone educate me as to the effect of new cams on a powerband, what to look out for, and maybe suggest a cam for my setup?

 

To be very general. Bigger cams usually push your peak hp and tq further up in the rpm band, however you can get grinds that maximize lower rpm performance. Always get matched valve springs when you change cams. As for your set up I am of no help, I don't mess with V6's, you could call a cam company, such as Comp or Crane and they will point you in the right direction.
