good info but those problems (mostly associated with a 347 ie. ring land and side loading) haven't been problems for at least 10 years. they are a thing of the past. you can certainly build a stroker to rev as well...my buddy's na 347 revs to 8200rpms.
Wow... [:-]

The problems are still out there depending on what you use and how cheap you try to go when building a stroker. But if you use quality parts from quality vendors then there shouldn't be many issues. Hey, it's not easy coming up with disadvantages for strokers, LoL.

Eh...no. Blocks are made to be bored out a certain amount, it's part of their service life. Plenty of 030 over blocks last an additional 200k miles easily. It all depends on how much quality you put into your build. Higher specific horsepower shortens the life of any engine, bored out or not.

if u bore out ur engine, you will decrease its running life a ton. seriously. ur block isnt made for it, but it does provide crazy hp gains.

You know, that's really what anything comes down to no matter what. It all depends on the quality of the product and the quality of the person doing the work. Too many times people try to take the cheap route and they end up paying more in the end... either in repair costs or replacement costs.
