Default AFR Heads...

How much HP can I expect from just a swap out of my factory heads for some AFR heads?

Depending on which afr's. But while youre tearing into the motor might as well put at least a B303 cam and some 1.72 rockers in it. BUt HP gain with 185's Id imagine at least 80HP witha tune.

I have been told with a mild 5.0 the AFR 165s will give you more power than the 185s.

the stock e7's are boat anchors. Peal that dead weight off and stick a set of afr-165's on that pony. Depending on the previous mods I would expect a healthy 50+hp gain. I'd definatley stick a cam in there while your at it. E303 is my choice for a nice street/strip machine. Make sure you tell your performance parts dealer your head/cam/rocker combo to get the properly sized *NEW* push-rods.

p.s.
Don't use the 185s they're too big.

AFR 185s also wont work with the stock bottom end b/c of piston to valve clearance problems...
