Default Opinions on car help

Well i'm doin a HCI, and i'm just about to start putting everything on, right now its all tore down. The motor is still in, i just need to put in the cam, heads, and intake, and all the other parts that go along with those.
This is my first time doing anything like this, and its taking waaay to long as it is. And if i do it by myself then its gonna take even longer, and i need a car asap.
I was gonna ask a couple of mechanically inclined people i know to help me do the job.
I'm just not too sure about how much it would be worth to pay them. I was thinking around 200-250 ( family friend or a friend would be helping ). Any opinions on prices ? thanks

If someone knows what they're doing, there isn't a whole lot of time involved since it's going back together. Buy 'em dinner (read: pizza) and provide 'em drinks while they're working...that should be more than adequate.
