Default Granny shifting or Double clutching

What do you men/women prefer to do in order to save the clutch. Lets say we are on a somewhat crowded highway and you dont need to be anywhere, your just cruising...

would you rather shift slow or double clutch?

Double clutching is only done when your in fast and the furious so your floor pan doesn't fall out.

im pretty sure doubleclutching is a term used when driving semi-trucks......i could be wrong though. Granny shifting is the best way to save the clutch. All I do is granny shift. I never powershift while im racing. Guess its paid off since my stock clutch has over 100 thousand miles on it and still takes a 100 shot without slipping......

+1 Granny shifting is a BS term, it should be retermed "shifting properly" No cars now need double clutching and havnt for a long time, its a waste of time.

well they say double clutch saves the synchornizers in the gear box (doesnt put alot of stress on it) but i like double clutching when i have a drastic gear change sucks at 5th to 2nd; just to let the engine set down to the right rpms but in performance car double clutching is the way of life KIDS. This is comming from a 16/17 year old as well

Sorry pal, but there is no reason to double clutch with a modern transmission. It was done in trans with no sycros but it is not needed anymore and doing it will not save any wear and tear on anything. I am glad your 17 years old and know everything.
