ok just for you guys that dont read my past replys, I am not bashing youre happyness man = Obsol3te, Common sense if you run Nos into any car or truck or whatever you drive in time parts fail, Last I checked, If you rat bag youre car all the time in time youre fuel pump fails, or youre rear main seals blow, things happen life goes on. And for you JD1969 you have a Nova there you should know, things happen cause we all know engines arent made to last for ever.

It's no different from any other form of FI tho, if setup properly.

It's actually the safest form of FI if done right, because it's not on ALL the time.

Just wondering, can nitrous burn up your piston rings? My step-dad is kinda gettin into drag racin now after trying my car at the strip and hes worried about me using the nitrous.
And he said that could happen? Is it common in nitrous used cars?

 

The most common damage is burnt valves/pistons due to a lean condition, followed by broken ring lands which can be caused by detonation. You seem like a smart person and are playing it safe when it comes to your tune, you should be fine.

 

I should know what? That engines don't last forever...well duhh. Ya things happen, parts break, it's called racing and going faster, the N20 is not what hurts the engine, 9 out of 10 times a lean condition causes the trouble. I was'nt trying to argue till you said some things that just don't make any sense, ie drag race engines are torn down after every race. Statments like that really irk me because it is obivious you don't drag race, but feel it is your place to give sombody else advice.
