Gee, I dunno compared to an MR2 we have a backseat and a trunk, and a 4.6 liter engine compared to a 1.6. I guess a japanese manufacturer could make all that weigh nothing, but here in America we obey the laws of thermodynamics.
I have a 5.0...and the MR2 is a 2.0...and i wouldn't say i have much of a backseat, AND the MR2 has a frunk(trunk where the engine should be) so i don't know how good of an argument that is (sorry for the delayed reaction, i don't get to use the computer very often which is why Chris got a reply in before i did)...

And...to VertStangGT86 BELIEVE ME he knows it's true beauty is the corners, he scares the crap out of me just driving to the grocery store. our contest is who is fastest in a line because i'm a realist and i know if i had all the money in the world he'd win if we included handling in the game i think that's about got me caught up

LOL, hell yes. My 89 had rack and pinion steering with no power assist and I loved it. I used to have so much fun scaring my friends too, lol. If you count the storage in the front there's actually two trunks cause there's the one in the back too.

Lol, yeah, I saw the frunk on that car, it's about the size of oh, say the donut that goes there. You couldn't even fit a textbook in it. And I didn't say large backseat, I said back seat, which is more weight. And yes, you're right, 5.0 is twice as big as a 2.0, thus, more weight. In any case, I wasn't bashing the MR2 by any means, my comments were directed at SI, who wanted to know why the mustang had to weigh so much more than the MR2...plus they were loaded with sarcasm, which I think maybe you missed.

All you guys need is for something who knows how to drive one to take you out on some back roads and you'll see why anyone who's owned one, and knows how to drive it, loves them.
