Every now and then Ill go to start my car up and it will act like it is starting up making all the usual noises then out of nowhere it will just immediatley stop and be dead silent and my key is still turned all the way like to start it.....then after the 1 sec pause it will make the start up noise again and start up.....what the hell is this? When I say every now and then I mean like 1 a month, not very much at all.

 

Usually starters tend to crap out all at once

 

could be a loose connection.
