Default Don't neglect your fuel filter!

I had the car up on the rack today - figured I'd finally replace my 02 sensor (had 3 codes indicating bacnk 2 was lean - for the last 6 months lol). Also took off my fuel fileter.

After 48k of 75% highway miles, my fuel filter was so clogged I couldnt blow through it! I intended to change it at 60k ~ or so.

All I can say is CHANGE YOUR FUEL FILTER EVERY 15 - 20K MILES! I always knew this was a recommendation - but DAMN - it was clogged the F up!

By the way, my car's idleing considerably better now - not sure if it was the fuel filter or 02 sensor in particular giving me a rough idle. At any rate - all' good now and Im sure my cars quicker for it. Plan on goin to the track Friday.

I had a rough idle and never really cared enough to diagnose it since I got my new short block.

I'll look into it

Some of the smaller things are really easy to overlook. Fuel filter being one of them. Also stuff like running your A/C for at least 10 minutes every month even during the cold months so the seals don't dry out.

If all else fails just follow the fuel lines from the tank until you find it. On other cars sometimes its under the car, sometimes up by the tank, sometimes under the hood.
